Hannah B TILLEY
I am a conservation biologist with a passion for investigating behavioural ecology using different systems. I graduated with a BSc degree in Zoology and went on to complete a Masters of Research at University College London (MRes), before undertaking different behavioural projects with birds in Hong Kong and bats with The Smithsonian Tropical Institute in Panama.
I am currently a PhD student at HKU working on how elephant sensory systems impact behaviour, specifically, how elephants make foraging choices based on olfaction. For this I have spent extensive periods of time at a field site in Nepal; working with a captive elephant population and training individuals to undertake experimental tasks. Back in Hong Kong I use complex statistical methods to analyse behavioural results.
